Team Jan

"Team Jan" is an unofficial name adopted in 1990 by allies of Jan Schakowsky when she and allies ran for a series of political offices in Evanston and Chicago's far North Side. It has since expanded to other Schakowsky allies across Chicago's North Side and the Near North Suburbs.

There are a number of critical non-elected leaders of Team Jan, including Schakowsky's husband and Illinois Public Citizen founder, Robert Creamer, Schakowsky's 1998 campaign manager and now SEIU Illinois Political Director Jerry Morrison and political operative Pete Giangreco.
